Photo Competition

We’re calling on all aspiring amateur photographers to enter the Eastern Bay of Plenty Landscapes Photo Competition.
We are looking for unique scenic landscape photos that show the ‘wow’ factor of the EBOP (landscapes only please, no people).

Our favourite entries will appear in our 2021 Calendar
1ST PRIZE – Sony HX90V camera, 12x 36 inch Print Voucher and a 2021 Eastern Bay of Plenty Landscapes Calendar
2ND & 3RD PRIZE – 12×36 inch Print Voucher and a
2021 Eastern Bay of Plenty Landscapes Calendar
All entries that make the 2021 Calendar
will receive a copy of the calendar.

Promoter: The Beacon Printing & Publishing Co Ltd (Beacon)
Competition is open to all amateur photographers, except employees or contractors of The Beacon Printing & Publishing Co Ltd and Lazer Photos and Cameras, or their direct family members.
This competition is open to all residents living in New Zealand.
By entering this competition, the participants agree: to be bound by these terms and conditions; that their name may be published along with their submitted image in Beacon promotional material and the Beacon/Lazer Photos & Cameras Eastern Bay of Plenty Landscapes 2021 Calendar.

Entrants should follow the instructions for the Eastern Bay of Plenty Landscapes Photo Competition carefully in order to enter and all entries must be submitted via the online entry form http://wp.easternbayapp.co.nz/photocomp/ URL
Photos should be in landscape format of Landscapes around the Eastern Bay of Plenty (no people in images).

Entrants must supply along with captions giving the locations, their full name, address, email address, and contact phone number with their image.
A maximum of three entries, each containing a different image, will be permitted per person. Entries made by third parties will not be permitted.
Each image can only be entered once, must have been taken since September 1, 2019 and be your own original work. You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of all images entered. The Promoter does not accept any liability for the publication of unlawfully reproduced images.
Computer-generated or excessive computer-altered images (the manipulation of an image, enhanced, edited, composite) will not be accepted. Artwork, fractals and illustrations will not be accepted.
All photos must be available as jpegs of a reasonably large size
By entering your image, you agree to grant the Beacon the non-exclusive right to publish, feature, reproduce and use it in the Beacon print and digital media, in existence now or later invented with credit to you.
The photos will be judged by the Beacon photographer, Troy Baker.
The winning entry of the competition will be the image that in the judges’ opinion is the best.
There is no cash alternative and the prizes will not be transferable. The prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. We reserve the right to substitute the prizes with one of the same or greater value.
The judges’ decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence relating to a competition will be entered.
The promoter reserves the right to withhold prizes if, in the opinion of the judges, the quality of entries falls below the standard required.
The winners will be notified by phone by the 30 September 2020.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside its control.
